IOV > Per i pazienti > Attivita' clinica > Chirurgia dell'Esofago e delle Vie Digestive - Attività Ricerca
An integral part of the activity of the Unit of Surgical Oncology is research. The Unit collaborates with research groups from other departments of the IOV and the University of Padua. Research activity focuses on clinical management, quality of life, immunology and cancerogenesis of digestive tract diseases.
The particular setting of an IRCCS (Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico; Institute of Scientific Research and Health Care) not only requires an innovative scientific approach to health care, it is able to provide a high standard of care to all patients. In this environment, the Unit of Surgical Oncology works in direct contact with the Padova City Hospital and the University of Padova, sharing clinical and research protocols, and in direct collaboration with all health care personnel.
This section outlines the different ongoing research projects on surgical oncology and is intended for researchers interested in the work currently being carried out in the Unit of Surgical Oncology. The last section is a collection of case reports on noteworthy disease presentation or surgical technique.
All collaborations are more than welcome!! For information, please contact the research group by email.
