Maria Vittoria Dieci is a medical oncologist at the Division of Medical Oncology 2 of the Istituto Oncologico Veneto in Padova. She specialized in Clinical Oncology in March 2012 at the University of Modena under the supervision of Prof. Pierfranco Conte, with a thesis on the change of tumor phenotype from primary breast cancer to recurrence. She then spent one year and a half from May 2012 to November 2013 as a research fellow at the Translational Research Unit (INSERM U981) of the Gustave Roussy Institute (Villejuif, France), directed by prof. Fabrice André and obtained the “Diplome Universitaire Européen en Recherche Translationnelle et Clinique en Cancérologie”. During this period she worked on various translational projects, including studies about the value of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in breast cancer and the application of whole exome sequencing to rare breast cancer histologies. She is now attending a PhD student program at the University of Padova.
